Montour County native Van Wagner presents a program on the iron ore mining heritage of our area.  Many of our communities claim a chapter in American History because of the local iron-industry.  The backbone of this industry relied on local geology; coal, limestone, and iron ore.

In this program, Wagner will focus on the local iron ore mining with an emphasis on WHO mined it.  Tools, maps, ore samples, demonstrations, and music will help bring this important part of our Montour County Heritage to life.
