Appalachia,
“Don’t Say Maybe, Say Clabey”
Appalachia "Don't Say Maybe, Say Clabe " original and traditional alternative folk, winter 1996-97.
WHOA! A lot of songs on this one! Appalachia was made up of Matt Harrison and Van Wagner. This project was recorded in the fall of 1996. The songs are composed of originals from both Van and Matt as well as some cover songs by Neil Young, Bill Monroe, Guy Clark, and the traditional song “groundhog.” Wagner’s influence of folk/bluegrass and Harrison’s background of jazz and classic rock make for one unique collection of songs. This album is a good representation of the personalities of both artists, containing sorrow, hope, humor, and relaxing melodies.
